As I promised last week, here’s an overview of what I’m planing to do next year.
Health and Wellness.
For about six months now, I’ve been watching my consumption of beans and grains — not because I’m trying to lose weight, but because I consistently feel better when I eat less of these. While the difference is not as noticeable as with gluten, I can’t deny that my body really likes a grain and legume free diet.
I don’t foresee withdrawing these completely (good luck with that in Colombia where everything is served with rice) because I don’t believe in diet extremes. However, just like with gluten, I don’t think I’ll be having these at home anymore.
Also, I eat MUCH less sweet stuff than I did 5 years ago, or even a year ago, but there’s still room for improvement here. The more I observe my relationship with sugar, the more it becomes apparent how unbalancing it can be. I’m ready to let go of the almost-daily-lil’-something-sweet habit and make it a weekly habit.
As far as physical activity, I want to tone and strengthen my body more. I have always loved intense exercise for short periods of time, but have difficulty keeping up a discipline over longer periods of time. I’m ready for that now.
Professional.
This year I allowed myself to “be productive” less, and instead, spend time idling, daydreaming, journaling and doodling. I find this to be extremely beneficial for my work flow, so I definitely plan to keep that up next year.
As far as specific projects, just like this year, the True Nourishment Inner Circle will be the focus of my practice. Lots of new and improved features are on the works, including cooking videos and little mini-series on specific health and wellness topics that can be purchased individually or accessed through the members’ website. My goal is to make this program the most relevant and effective source for health and wellness advice for the conscious woman on the go. I know that’s a mouthful, but I’m confident that with a little help, we’ll get there pretty soon.
This doesn’t mean I am not working with individual clients, but there will be only a handful openings at any given time. I am also super excited to launch a new private program: The “Figure My Diet Out” Blueprint 1-Day Private Retreat.

I’m looking forward to spending some time with my mom in Colombia and with my brother in Canada next year. I also would love to learn surfing and French — not together necessarily. And of course I’m looking forward to spending many hours cooking and baking with my new favorite ingredients: coconut and almond flour.
May we all have a beautiful new year full of health, prosperity… and good food :-).
What are you looking forward to?

I’m looking forward to “getting onward” with my life. I was in a car accident in 2009 and it sapped a lot of my energies going to doctors, therapies and the like. While I’m still going for physical therapy, I’m hoping to see the light at the end of the tunnel sooner rather than later. I’m not setting a lot of goals; it just sets one up for failure so I’m setting monthly goals so I can adjust accordingly, instead of these big year-long goals that never work!
